Most problems with pedalboards are due to bad interconnect cables, poor choices in the order of the effect chain, effect loading (tone suck) and bad power supplies.

The absolute worst problem is bad interconnect (jumper) cables.

When we do up a pedalboard we hand solder every connection. Solderless connectors are simply bad connections waiting to happen. 90% of pedalboard problems can be cured by using properly soldered high quality connectors. We use Switchcraft or Amphenol connectors in our pedalboard work. Usually the cable itself does not need replacement, only the lousy useless connectors.

The other major problem with pedalboards is poor staging of the effect chain. There are a few good ways to link effects and many bad ones. We can work with you to optimize the effects you are using.

Another problem is having your signal loaded down by the effects and often the wiring used in connecting effects. We can rewire for true bypass or install line buffers (solid state and real tube) into the signal chain to restore tone and clarity.

Often noise and hum is caused by noisy or under rated power supplies. We have many options in this area, we can work with you to get the best out of your system.,
